Eric Zhang '18

Canyonlands Fund

Eric graduated in 2018 from CSOM with concentrations in finance & entrepreneurship, with a minor in philosophy. On campus, he was very involved in 4Boston, SAP, Arrupe, & the Emerging Leaders Program. Eric interned after junior year in investment banking at Citigroup before pivoting to join McKinsey's Boston office as a consultant after graduation, where he served a multitude of private equity firms on diligence cases. After 2 years at McKinsey, Eric joined Sycamore Partners, a $10B AUM private equity firm in NYC investing in consumer and retail businesses. Last summer, he joined Canyonlands Fund, a "startup" private equity firm focused on acquiring businesses in outdoor recreation and youth development. The first platform he is helping build is focused on acquiring and growing premier sleepaway summer camps across the country.

About Us

Boston College VCPE was founded in 2018 by Devin Weinberg (BC ‘20) and Peter Rooch (BC ‘20) in hopes of expanding the Venture Capital and Private Equity presence on campus.
