Education

VCPE has developed a yearlong curriculum designed to teach students about the Venture Capital and Private Equity industries and prepare them for a career in private investing. Sample class topics include industry deep dives, investment strategies, valuation and returns, deal process, sourcing, and more. Educational events are held biweekly and are open to all Boston College students.

Recruitment

VCPE hosts information sessions and networking events with various funds throughout the academic year. These events provide members with opportunities to learn about different fund strategies and engage with professionals as they navigate the recruitment process. VCPE also helps to directly connect members with hiring firms and prepare for subsequent interviews.

Workshops & Competitions

Each year, VCPE offers members the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through case competitions and guided workshops. Members have the chance to compete in our annual Amity Ventures Sourcing Case Competition, as well as form teams to compete in other Boston College and local competitions. The club also hosts regular workshops for members to learn and practice skills such as LBO Modeling, Pitching, and Sourcing.

Office Visits

VCPE partners with firms in Boston to hold in-person office visits for members. These visits offer VCPE members tangible insights into life as an investor, in-person networking opportunities with alumni, and in-depth exposure to to the strategy & culture of local funds. Office visits are targeted towards members actively recruiting for intern and full time positions.
